Ounce of Prevention

This page and my webpage

Heart disease has been studied for decades.

The War on Cancer was declared in 1971. Almost 50 years ago. Find a cure, understand cancer biology, improve treatments and eradicate cancer as a major cause of death. We are losing this war. Cancer is winning. Cancer is killing many and sickens many more.

Humans for over 95 percent of our existence died from three main things: infections, injuries or wounds, and malnutrition.

Now we die from:

  1. Heart Disease
  2. Cancer
  3. Medical Errors

Prevention is the obvious remedy. Prevention should be part and parcel of everyday life. Every choice, action, meal, bite, drink, sip, sleep, nap, smoke, ride, run, swim, sit, stand, walk, hike, lift: these are all choices. Conscious or unconscious. They are decisions that have small impacts. You are helping your body and mind live healthy. Or you are hurting them. It’s hard to know the difference. But it’s vital to know or to find out.

An easy guide for food. Choose whole and natural. Avoid sugary, carbohydrate rich, processed factory food. Make fasting part of everyday.

The guide for activity. Move, avoid being sedentary. Find activity you enjoy. Find others that enjoy them. Do something fun everyday. Sweat, breath hard through your nose, avoid mouth breathing, lift heavy things, climb up and down. These should be part of everyday. Our bodies and brains were designed for this. If you don’t do this, you will be hard pressed to be happy and healthy.

Heart disease, cancer and the medical industrial complex are out to kill you if you let them. Don’t let them get you. Eat healthy and keep moving before heart diseases cancer can get started. A little prevention is worth a pound of cure. Especially if the cure can kill you! Am I right? Or am I right? Damn right I’m right!
