Orange juice, frozen or fresh blueberries, fresh or frozen strawberries, fresh or frozen spinach, dollop of coconut oil. Blend well.

I prefer frozen fruit and spinach. I have added cooked sweet potato, cooked beets, raw carrots, cherries and blackberries on occasion. A little sweet potato adds carbs, but also a sweetness and a slippery quality that is pleasant. Beets are healthy, but sometimes adds an earthy component. Raw carrots just disappear. Cherries go well with berries. Blackberries have annoying seeds that I really don’t like.

The coconut oil can be a little chunky at times, maybe chewy. But I don’t mind and the fat will help your body absorb vitamins and minerals.

Other fruits, while sweet, are also carby, so I avoid mangoes, pineapple, apples, and grapes. Gotta stay keto-esque.
