Treason is the betrayal of one’s own country by:
- Killing the leader of one’s own country
- Participating in war against one’s own country
- Aiding and abetting those at war with one’s own country
- Overthrowing or attempting to overthrow the government
The person committing treason is called a traitor. The punishment for treason is death, five years in prison or given a ten thousand dollar fine. When POTUS commits treason or people make these accusations our brains are given a shock. When the one person who’s loyalty should be absolute is called into question, we are without a doubt, full of doubt.
