No Regret

About this and My webpage

Regret is an emotion about the past. Regrets of the dying can teach us about what’s important in life. We wouldn’t look back on our lives and regret the trivial or meaningless. So the following list may be something important enough to hear, think about and take action on in one’s own life.

Top Five Regrets of the Dying

  • I wish I had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me
  • I wish I had not worked so hard
  • I wish I had the courage to express my feelings
  • I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends and family
  • I wish that I had let myself be happier

If we reflect and see in our own lives that maybe we are:

  • Living up to other people’s expectations because we are scared to do what will make us happy
  • Work more than is really necessary, working too long or working too much
  • Hide our true feelings all the time because we fear other’s reactions
  • Let too much time pass before connecting with friends
  • Spend too much time thinking about things that make us sad. And don’t spend enough time thinking about what makes us happy

I would like to reflect and not regret. I would like to reflect and be satisfied. Bucket list items should not revolve around material things. Our bucket list should include:

  • Being true to ourselves
  • Playing more and working less
  • Expressing our true feelings
  • Spend time with our friends
  • Let ourselves be happy

No regrets is sober, careful, intentional, brave, firm and strong.
